I am so happy to be a part of your child's educational

journey here at the Coeur d'Alene Tribal School. I have been teaching at the tribal school for sixteen years and this is my twenty- second year of teaching!!!!

Fun facts-


  • I am a former student and graduate of the Coeur d'Alene Tribal School!!!!

  • I have taught grades 3-6

  • My daughter attends the tribal school

  • I have taught in the Northwest (Washington & Idaho), the Southwest (Arizona) and the Northeast (Maine)!


The third grade curriculum includes the following:

  • Social Studies (communities)

  • Science (Weather & Climate, Plants and Animals)

  • Reading (Informational and Literature)

  • Math (Algebraic Thinking, Number and Operations, Measurement and Geometry)

  • Writing (narrative, opinion, informative)

  • Coeur d' Alene Language

  • Culture and Enrichment

  • Art

  • Physical Education

  • Computer (keyboarding & Istation)


 I will provide your child with an individualized learning packet each week. Packets will be ready each Monday by 9:00  and can be picked up at the school, or picked up at your designated lunch site or mailed. Please let the school know what your preference is. Please return your completed packet each Monday so that I can grade your assignments.

Please visit our google classroom!!!!  This is where you will find your child's weekly assignments and announcements. To access our google classroom using your child's chrome book, please do the following: 1) Login using your child's email address and password. 2)Then type in the URL address at the top of the screen.  3) Scroll down until you see google classroom and then click it. 4) You should then come to a page that has an invitation from me to join our google classroom. Click on accept and you will have access to our google classroom !!!!!!  


Note: You will also find a hard copy of the weekly assignments and announcements inside of your child's weekly learning packet.

Suggested Schedule for May 18-22


8:00-9:00- Get ready for the day (dressed & breakfast)


9:00- 9:40- Math -You will need to do math lessons from our enVision Math Curriculum. See a list of your assignments inside of your individualized learning packet. Also, please visit the website. Instructions on how to log in are in your packet. This website will help build foundational skills! 


9:40- 10:00- Break (preferably outside)


10:00-10:30- Reading - individualized learning packet 


10:30-11:00- Silent reading (choose a book of your choice) or listen to Storyline Online (see link below)


11:00-12:00- Lunch- Pick up your lunch at a Coeur d' Alene Tribal School lunch site near you (Plummer, Agency, Worley or DeSmet). Note: On occasion, Mrs. Strong posts what you are having for lunch on our Coeur d'Alene Tribal School Facebook page!


12:00-12:40- Writing- Please continue to work on your Realistic Fiction Paper this week. If you are finished with your paper, please work on responding to the writing prompts that I have enclosed in your learning packet.  


12:40-1:00- Istation (math or reading)-This is important for growth!!!


1:00-1:20- Spelling- See packet


1:20-1:50-Science- Animal adaptations (in packet)


Suggested Websites -Students can learn and reinforce important concepts in math, reading, Grammar and more! Celebrities read some of their favorite stories (I highly recommend this!!!) This is a great website to reinforce multiplication and division facts and much, much more!!!!!!(visit Mr. Burk's web page for the class code. (I highly recommend this website!!!)  (or Mars, Uranus, Jupiter, Mercury, etc.) Explore NASA's online activities
